Design Group is currently recruiting for an Estimator. Our client is Canada’s largest privately owned window and door manufacture and they are expanding their Edmonton Office. We are seeking an energetic, career–minded professional that wants to be challenged, recognized and rewarded for their contributions and hard work. Our client provides an extensive array of services across the broad spectrum of construction. They specialize in residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of the estimate on commercial projects

• Prepare/review tender documents

• Prepare trade lists and invitations to bid

• Prepare, monitor and update construction budgets

• Reviews market labour and equipment rates and advises accordingly

• Tract construction project from start to finish

• Travel to site for inspections

• You will liaise with clients on requirements, expectations and time frames and coordinate specialist technical input where necessary

Job Requirements:

• University Degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Science, or Civil Technology Diploma or a combination of education and industry experience

• Five to Seven years experience in construction estimating and a minimum of three years experience in commercial glass projects

• Proficient in Timberline and MS Office

• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills

• Must be Safety Conscious
